The conscious impulse to create intentional communities among humans began perhaps thousands of years ago. Without diving into history, suffice it to say that a resurgence of this ancient concept began in the late 1960’s and early 70’s. One of the early, relatively successful experiments in communal living is The Farm in Tennessee, which was started by a group of idealistic hippies.

We are on the cusp of a new era of consciousness on the planet. The whole hubbub about 2012 is about this shift. It’s a transition from masculine to feminine consciousness, meaning those humans (men or women) who resonate with the earth’s unfolding creative, dynamic, careening, ever-changing life force, will be better prepared for a future that holds a tremendous amount of change in the next 50 years.

I wrote a Resolution Keepers Journal a couple of years ago thinking that a multitude of people would come to my seminars. It was scheduled to begin the 2nd of January—a perfect time to have resolutions made or so I thought. Long story short, no one came to that first seminar… or any of the following ones for that matter. My heart and dream shattered.

Twelve years ago, I would watch my now sister-in-law, drop and do ten each time she passed the fireplace in her bungalow living room. Often times she’d have to put down the laundry basket or a kid to complete her regimented sit-ups, push-ups, or jumping jacks.
