Herbology Today

Herbology has its place in modern healthcare

I don’t believe anyone can argue that modern medicine has its place and is invaluable saving countless lives annually. In acute, life threatening situations personally my choice is surgery and or pharmaceuticals like antibiotics, steroids, or thrombolitic enzymes. But in chronic conditions like arthritis, constipation, non-life threatening infections and pains, treatments like herbology support the body and allow it to respond and correct itself from the source of the problem. Where modern medicine tends to treat the symptoms with a guided missile approach, traditional herbology approaches treatment from a holistic perspective.

Unraveling the Candida Riddle

People with Type O blood have the best chance of overcoming Candidiasis, according to naturopath Dr. James D’Adamo. They have a strong, well-developed physique and their basic nature makes them physically very active. They also need some protein daily to feel well. Dairy products are not as mucous-forming in Type O’s as in other people; wheat and tomatoes are not as acid-forming.

This doesn’t mean you can run out and eat these foods with abandon, especially since they feed yeast. But once healthy, O’s can rotate them into the diet with fewer consequences than others might have. Type O’s can introduce new foods sooner than other blood types once they restore their inner ecology.

 Spiritual Maturity

The prerequisite for adulthood is responsibility. For someone on a spiritual journey, responsibility becomes paramount. In the ego, we frequently find ourselves busy taking responsibility for everyone else, leaving us little time or energy to take responsibility for ourselves. One of the ironies of the spiritual journey is that one tends to become selfish (at least in the eyes of others), for it takes energy and commitment to clear the veils of darkness.

 Humanity's Team

Humanity’s Team, founded by Neale Donald Walsch, author of the Conversations With God series, is a nonprofit, global grassroots spiritual movement whose purpose is to communicate and implement the belief that we are all one, one with God and one with life, in a shared global state of being, so that the behavior of humanity may shift to reflect this understanding. This grass-roots movement of the soul was also in response to Neale’s books. People read this material, as well as other well-known authors on the subject of spiritual growth and wanted to join hands to do something. The time had come for us to stop hiding out in our own little corners of the world, reading wonder-filled books on spirituality and come together as one, the Divine beings that we are, and change the world. And we are doing it, one by one, by one. We are the change we want to see in the world as one of our greatest teacher/leaders beautifully stated so many years ago.

Words to Live By

Recently, while cleaning out my files, I came across a folder from 2002 labeled, "Words to Live By". My mind became flooded with memories of how that folder came to be: I was in my last year of naturopathic school and preparing for my national board exam. I remember how tired and overwhelmed I felt. I had absolutely little to no time for myself and had three children who wanted all of my attention. Even if their father were sitting right next to me, they would come and whine to me. Even if their father were in the kitchen, they would come to me for a glass of water. I once asked my husband how he was able to cloak himself in front of the children. I really wanted to learn that trick.

Ballooning Into The Sky

Searching the web seems to be a new pastime for me lately; looking for new and different things for the journal.

I came upon this website (www.clusterballoon.org) and met a very wonderful person who is willing to share himself and what he does with all of us. His name is John Ninomiya and he is from Solana Beach, CA.

 Diagnosing the list Fantastic

When the traditional Reiki system was given to mankind at the time of Atlantis, it was intended to align mankind with its Divine Nature, its Divine Inheritance. All illness comes from a disconnection from the Divine. To be Divine is to be in perfection. Illness comes from a belief that all is not perfect, that there is imbalance, that there is dis-ease. One cannot be ill and also know that one is Divine.
