We are on the verge of a huge evolutionary leap in human consciousness. As we move from a duality-based reality into unity and wholeness, we must address all aspects of beings, including the parts we do not see. As we merge our lives and ourselves into this greater reality it is necessary to create an entry point. This place exists beyond judgment, right/wrong and good or bad. Here there is no “story” of how we are victims. We are a no-thing. We are in uncharted territory. This is the point where most of us stand up, look around and say: what have I been doing all this work for? Who am I now? Uhh… Um?

Several years ago while taking a winter walk in the woods, I was admiring the naked trees, noticing all the sizes and shapes, and seeing forms that reminded me of human arms, legs, breasts and buttocks. As I admired the trees in their nakedness, I laughed out loud, at the realization of how totally non-judgmental nature is. There is no shame in large sagging trunks, or deeply wrinkled bark. Every gnarled branch and twig had its own beauty, strength and elegance. It was a momentary epiphany, as to how judgmental we often are of our bodies… and how freeing it would be to live as deeply self-accepting as a tree!

Lately, the term “healthy eating” has taken on a whole new meaning. It used to mean eating a balanced diet from the four food groups. Now it means attempting to successfully eat from the four food groups without contracting a food-borne illness. The last few years has seen an increase in food-borne illnesses, such as E-coli and Salmonella. Foods on past “do not eat” lists have included tomatoes, peanut products, spinach, beef and poultry. It has gotten to the point where it’s impossible to feel comfortable with the quality and sources of our food. So what do we do? How do we keep ourselves and our families safe and healthy? Try exploring one of the three following options for safe, healthy eating.

Do you love your body for the Divine creation that it truly is? How do you treat your body? How does your body treat you? A body that is loved cares for itself—mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Tending to our pet's physical well-being is similar to practicing health safety for our children. By thinking of safety first, we can work to care for our pet’s physical vessel through prevention. In Part 1 of this article I expressed my view of how humanity established and grew a relationship with immunity and the immune system and how it is an expression of how life was and is often viewed: as something to survive and be protected from. With concerns of diseases and violence is it any wonder that protection from is how most of life is lived? Add to that the constant concern for and threat against our financial and societal welfare and well-being and you have a world which is constantly looking over its' shoulder in anticipation of the next conflict to struggle with, the next problem to solve or the next thing to protect ourselves from. Is it a wonder people feel as on-edge as they do? In this article I will be exploring how we can shift our relationship with ourselves; how this will influence our lives; and how it will change the ways we are in the relationship of life.
