As Above, So Below...

October 2007

Aries (March 20 – April 19) The New Moon in your solar house of relationships brings a new beginning– intimacies aren’t the only point of action here; you may find a rewarding business partnership coming you way, also. Mercury retrograde whispers that it’s best to first dance – take time for courtship, and of course cleaning up any loose ends which need attention in other departments. This connection has true long term potential. Mark the 16th and 17th on your calendar – planetary aspects from both Venus and Mercury to your ruling planet, Mars, hint to a turning point. Someone has second thoughts on the 25th, but your calm attitude soothes desperate acts.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20) You’ve waited, perhaps even pretended that you didn’t care – now it’s time to shore up your strategies, and make your move (while everybody else is lulled into complacency by Mercury retrograde). Opportunity surrounds you, even if you don’t quite see how to grasp it. Risk taking can be a lonely adventure, but it’s sometimes necessary. The Full Moon in your sign on the 26th brings either the satisfaction you seek, or else acceptance of your unfilled longings. Avoid frustration on the 15th ; there’s not much you can do to change the situation.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20) A light hearted approach works best now, and October is a perfect time to release any dead weight which is holding you down. Do it quickly – schedule time during the weekend of the 13th and 14th to begin your task. This applies on many levels; extra pounds, too much stuff, negative people – fill in the blank for anything else which fits here. Why? ‘Cause, it sets you free, and, oh yes, makes room for good things. The focus is on a delightful new creation that brings you joy, and, perhaps extra money. A benefactor will appear before year’s end – begin your preparations now. Hold your ground on the 15th and the 28th ; take a deep breath, and a stress tab. You may have to re-evaluate, or even cut your losses. Do so, and move on.

Cancer (June 21 – July 21) Mars traveling through your sign keeps you even busier than usual, Cancer. Be alert to nervous tension, which for you especially, mushrooms into discord in the tummy, as well as at home. Over all, you’re on. The stars even whisper about soft moonlight and romantic moments this month – enjoy. Maintaining an even keel is your secret to success now. Your energy is good, but don’t burn out. Your hard work is bearing fruit, don’t give up hope. There is an element of frustration involved in delays; Mercury retrograde affects us all. Next month you will complete those things which were shaping up, but could not finalize in October. Arrive early and stay late for your appointment on the 16th or 17th.

Leo (July 22 – August 22) That final missing detail, the one which has been causing you irritation and angst will be addressed this month, Leo. Think large, and outside the box now. Jupiter square Uranus on the 9th activates a stalemate in your financial sector. Squares create tension, but these two planets working in synchronicity have great potential, even when at odds. In fact, sometimes they produce the best results this way. The secret is – work it. Mercury retrograde will lull you into a session of disbelief if you allow it. Maintain your drive, your courage, and your ambition. The best day for your business meeting is the 16th. Look your best on the 26th; somebody is watching.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22) Decisions made this month affect not only yourself. You play a key role in the lives of those around you, too. The time has come when Maat, the goddess of justice, balances the weight of your heart against that of a feather – she is evaluating the quality of your Light, but she is also judging the depth of your soul. In terms of the more practical matters – hold on, or rather, hold off! Mercury retrograde this month moves from your solar third house of communication and back into your area of finances. With Mercury being your traditional ruling planet, this is a tough sector to have to deal with the delays and frustrations which you encounter. Be patient- next month is fantabulous.

Libra (September 23 – October 21) With the Sun passing through Libra until it enters Scorpio on the 23rd, this is your month to shine, Libra. But, there is a theme shaping up for October – that of ‘letting go’, and completion of necessary internal and external housecleaning. You are no exception; in fact, you are a poster child for this exercise. Saturn and Venus joined in Virgo on the 14th offers you an exciting opportunity to star in the role of martyr; think twice before taking it on. Breathe, shift, love, cry, and love again. These are amazing times. The 20th and 21st is an excellent weekend for shopping therapy, and renewal of your fabulous inner and outer self through art and music.

Scorpio (October 22 – November 21) October if filled with anticipation, but Mercury retrograde and the New Moon in your solar 12th house both slow the process towards completion. It’s been a good year, has it not, Scorpio. Use this time well. Remember that these retrograde times are best for review and revision. Although is doesn’t seem possible, this is an expression for the perfection of your cosmic game plan. On the 14th, Saturn conjunct Venus in your solar 11th house says it’s time to say goodbye to certain situations – you know what they are, and replacements are already waiting in the wings. The Sufi master exits the stage, although letting go gracefully is one of your most important lessons. Avoid making rash decisions on the 23rd; careful though and no action saves the day. You rewards are coming soon.

Sagittarius (November 22– December 20) Your commitment and focus are beyond reproach, Sag, just don’t forget about the other stuff – family, playing in the fall leaves, weekend drives. You’re a bit introspective now – digging deeply into the well to emerge with your truest form. The structures are in place, but, what happens if there is a crack at the edges? Some structures will reveal their fatal flaws before years end. Perhaps it’s appropriate to mix up a batch of patching cement for those you really, really want to keep. Reign in your frustrations on the 15th – this will pass, but not without action on your part. The 6th and the 13th are both great days for weekend activities – get out and enjoy.

Capricorn (December 21 – January 19) Consistency is your ally more than ever, Capricorn. It is one of your strong points, I know. But, I also know how too much activity can steer us off center. The world is whirling around you, yet you are a calm place within the storm. The mini tornadoes will die down; the dramas will be acted out. Don’t take a bit of it on, because your real work is internal this month. Focus, dig deep, go to your core and see what comes up. There is a rich mother lode waiting to be mined. Be prepared for decision making session, however, on the 19th ; the first quarter moon in Capricorn brings on a need to take action. Venus opposite Uranus on the 25th brings someone interesting your way, one of the hmmmm…. kind, and leaves you with lots to think about.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 17) Aquarius is often termed as the ‘occultist’, as opposed to the ‘mystic’, a term reserved for Pisces. This is a fine distinction, but an interesting and valid one. Uranus, your ruling planet is sometimes, well, just out of control! The beauty of catalyst Uranus is that he makes things happen. Kabbalist Rav Berg teaches that Aquarians share a fine trait with trees and plants; you both have the power to break through the constraints of the physical world. Plants do so by overcoming the force of gravity and growing upward. This Uranian style has been modified by Neptune recently; you are now also learning qualities of the mystic. That said, you still have to tend to practical matters on the 9th. Stay out of the fray on the 15th when somebody’s karma overruns somebody else’s dogma. And, just be happy on the 20th, it’s a great day to get out and play.

Pisces (February 18 – March 19) Saturn is a planet of judgments, and this month Saturn meets with the south node on the 12th. This will activate Saturn, and it affects you, for better or worse. It’s about personal as well as spiritual growth. Yes, sometimes Saturn brings a seeming loss, but, Saturn can also bring deserved gains. Think clean slate and fresh start. Your sign has a universal quality which transcends the personal into the impersonal. In other words, your well being is a barometer for the radiance of those around you, and to a certain level, that of humanity. We hope you are doing well; we need you vital, healthy, and filled with joy. Best day for fun this month is the 25th – it’s absolutely exotic, just like you.Smile
