Welcome everyone to the wonderful world of this talented artist, Diane English. Diane, believe it or not is a self taught artist, who at midlife, took a chance and followed her dream of combining art and her spiritual journey. Thank goodness for people who follow their hearts! Diane brings to us a lightness and humor to carry us through those rough and tumbled times. She is the creator of a wonderful website called "The Great Cosmic Happy-Ass" (www.greatcosmichappyass.com). It is the home to many of the helpers that continue to give her inspiration and love to continue in this endeavor and the encouragement to sometimes even become a bit more "serious," though not heavy, (www.dianeenglish.com which shows her most recent work).

In Diane's words she has survived countless spiritual crises; have managed to see the occasional "light"; and discovered the secret of Higher Consciousness along the way. Yes, after years of deep meditation, medication, fasting, prayer and a few bottles of Merlot she now knows the secret to enlightenment is being in the "Now" with a piece of rich, dark chocolate! "All around us, messages from a universal consciousness are entering the mainstream, prompting us to wake up to a higher level of awareness. We are collectively reconnecting, reawakening and rediscovering our evolution as spiritual beings."

This latest work Something Wonderful is Happening is the result of Diane's awakening to a world of "light" - "lightness" color and joy. She has found that underneath us all is a loving, creative, playful spiritual being. She is tapping into this truth to help us uncover our truest potential and help with the transformation that is inevitable. The question lies... How will we bring that forth for ourselves?

Diane would say that this is a more serious step for her, moving her forward but as I am with this new work, I just feel a greater level of sincerity allowing her to grow into more of her calling.

"I recognized I had to create larger pieces expressing not only my own spiritual growth but also the transformation in thought I see happening around the entire Planet.” The new artwork also parallels a more personal artistic journey that, over the years, has taken Diane English from self-taught artist to successful entrepreneur to designer of her irreverently original (and wildly successful) greeting card designs that have sold in bookstores and galleries nationwide. “The cards were cartoons that let me play with the truth,” says English. “With this new collection, I’m listening more closely to my voice. This artwork is much larger in size and the messages are coming from a much deeper level - more direct, richer, more powerful.”
